Larry Southern, Kennel Manager
Larry has worked at Combs since June 2000.
Larry has previously lived in North Carolina where he ran his own grooming, boarding and pet supply business for 19 years.
In his free time, Larry enjoys working with leather, collecting African Ivory people and taking care of Gladys, his dog.
You can be assured when your pet comes in for boarding, it will get Larry's personal care and years of experience. Larry strives to treat your pet as if they were his own.

Heidi Wagner
I am currently a Senior at Indiana University.
My pets include: Sydney a black lab, Zac a dachshund and 2 cats, Oliver & Puddy.
I have worked at Combs Vet Clinic for 2 years. I love my job, all of the people and pets are great!
When I am not at work, I spend my time studying, spending time with friends and family and playing with my pets.
Jodi Miller
I graduated from Bloomfield High School.
My pets include: Milly (Miniature Schnauzer), Gauge (Australian Shepherd), Hooey (Black/White Paint Horse), Derby (Sorrel & White Quarter Horse) and lots of cats and cattle.
I have worked at Combs Vet Clinic for 1 year.
I love spending time with my daughter, Layne. She is my everything. I enjoy anything that has to do with outdoors or animals, including: rodeos, hunting, riding horses & four wheelers.
Susan Adkins
I graduated one of 88 students froma small high school located in Versailles, IN. I then moved to Bloomington to attend Indiana University where 88 students constituted just one class! I returned to college in 2004 and received my ASN (Associate Science of Nursing) in 2007.
I have a cat name Betty (aka: Black Betty) that adopted me while recovering at Combs Vet Clinic from a severe bite wound. Good thing her sisters Gray Betty & Brown Betty already had homes. I have two dogs: a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix named Finley Guenther and a Maltese/Min Pin mix named Addie Mae. Yes you read it correctly a Maltese/Min Pin.
I have worked at Combs for three years and continue here part-time after becoming an RN because I have a genuine love for both animals and people. I feel very blessed to be able to work with both. I enjoy the outdoors, music, movies, reading and anything that involves spending quality time with my three definitions of unconditional love: FINLEY, ADDIE and BETTY.
ASSISTANTS & TECHNICIANS
Jenny Osborne, Technician/Assistant Supervisor
I graduated from Edgewood High School.
My pets include: Elwood - the calander Dalmatian and Chip - the smiling Dalmatian.
I have been working as a Vet Assistant since 1996. I have worked at other Vet Clinics in Tennessee & Georgia. I enjoy educating our clients about their pets and the importance of preventative health care.
When I am not at work, I enjoy doing things outdoors: from softball, running and hiking with the dogs. When its nice out, I can be found in my Jeep with the top down. When it's cold out, I can be found playing in the snow with my Jeep too!
Debbie All - Technician
I graduated from Ithaca College with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I also graduated form Bel Rea Institute of Animal Technology with a A.A.S. Animal Science.
My pets include River a handsone Black Lab, Cooper & Gracie - my 2 cats and Cassidy - an African Gray Parrot.
I've worked at Combs Vet Clinic for 16 years as a Veterinary Technician. It is an exiciting place to work because there is always something new to see and learn.
On my off time, I love taking classes at the YMCA and spending time with my family and pets.
Brenda Lohkamp - Assistant
My pets include 9 horses, 6 cats and 2 dogs.
I graduated from Indiana University with a BA.
I love riding horses. I have several horses that I have owned since they were young. Some as long as 20 years. The four most recent horses were old or owned by people who could not provide care for them any longer. I have the reputation of being a horse nursing home.
I am also very interested in art and antiques. I have a degree in art history and I collect victorian and gothic furniture from the mid 1800's.
I love my job and working with animals. I have been employed at Combs Vet Clinic since 1990.
ASSISTANTS & TECHNICIANS
Tammy Brazzell-Duncan- Assistant
My education includes a High School Diploma & Vocational Technical (Business Professional Class).
At home, I have 3 dogs, 5 cats, 5 horses and a wonderful husband.
I am an Indiana country girl that enjoys horseback riding, spending time outdoors, planting flowers & bird watching. I have always loved animals and am blessed to help take care of all the wonderful companion friends our clients bring in.
Julie Landis - Assistant
I am a Bloomfield High School Graduate.
My pets include: Shelby - a 13 year old Chocolate Lab & JoJo - a 1 1/2 year old Beagle mix.
Since I have no children, my pets are my "kids". I have always loved animals. I have been here at the clinic for 12 years. My job is very a rewarding & fulfilling one. I love to be outdoors walking with my dog in the woods or working in my flowers in the summertime. I also love to read in my spare time.
Maryann Whalin - Assistant
I graduated from Ohio Univeristy with a BS and a AS.
My pets include 5 dogs of various sizes & breeds, 7 cats, 2 lizards, 2 snakes, 1 turtle, 1 guinea pig, 1 rabbit, 7 pigmy goats, 1 horse, chickens and a flock of guinea fowl.
I came from the great state of Ohio to Indiana after marrying my husband. I have been working in the Veterinary field since 1993. I began working at Combs Vet Clinic in 1997. I choose to work in the animal health care field because I truly enjoy all types of pets from cats & dogs to snakes & rats.
In my time away from work, I am quite busy working on our small family farm, chauffeuring our 3 children to various acitivities & caring for our numerous pets.
Involvement in our church is important to me. Painting & reading an occasional good book helps me to relax. I am currently training in the marital arts. My family and & like to be outside camping, swimming & hosting great cookouts for our friends. We are proud of the small community we live and are avid fans of our high schhol teams. Go Bulldogs!!
Sabra Halstead - Assistant
I am a graduate of BHSS, Class of '98.
My pets include: Momma - a 12 year old Black Lab, Dirk - a 11 year old Pit Bull Mix, Oscar - a 3 year old Jack Russell Mix, Sunny - a 12 year old cat, Oliver - a 8 year old cat, and Tuber - a 10 year old car.
I have worked at Combs Vet Clinic for 6 years.
When I am not working, I enjoy being outdoors, hanging out with friends and going to see bands play.
